Why I am interested in HSTEM:
I chose to become a member of the HSTEM community because I value the environment that the project is trying to encourage. The human side of STEM that many students do not get to see is very important to the identity of the community as a whole, and can help reshape the mentality of future STEM students for decades to come. I wish to devote a part of my life that I will forever carry with me to this project, and see how it impacts my life. I hope to take with me all the lessons I have learned from this class to the remainder of my career as both a stem student, and, hopefully as a medical professional.
